Refund & Cancellation Policy

01Plain-English summary
Cancel your subscription at any time from Settings → Billing in the app. If you cancel mid-cycle you keep access until the end of the period you’ve already paid for.
We don’t refund partial months — the 30-day free trial is your evaluation window. For annual plans, we offer a pro-rata refund if you ask within 14 days of the most recent charge. Failed payments retry over a week before the subscription cancels.
02How to cancel
You can cancel any time from inside the app. Go to Settings → Billing → Manage subscription. That opens the Stripe-hosted billing portal, where you can confirm the cancellation. We’ll send you a confirmation email and the app will display a banner showing the date your subscription ends.
You don’t lose access immediately. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you’ve already paid for. If you cancel a monthly plan halfway through the month, you keep full access until the renewal date you would have hit; you just won’t be charged again.
If you can’t access the billing portal for any reason, email support@aurumwealth.io from the address on your account and we’ll cancel it for you.
03Monthly subscriptions
Monthly subscriptions are billed at the start of each monthly cycle and are not refundable for partial periods. The 30-day free trial is the evaluation window — if Aurum isn’t for you, cancel before the trial ends and you won’t be charged.
If you cancel a monthly plan after a charge, you keep access through the end of the billing cycle you’ve paid for, then revert to a read-only state where you can still export or delete your data.
04Annual subscriptions
Annual plans are paid up front for the full year. We offer a pro-rata refund within 14 days of the most recent charge:
- Refund amount = (annual fee ÷ 12) × number of unused full months remaining.
- Days are not prorated — only complete months count.
- The 14-day window starts from the date of the most recent annual charge.
After the 14-day window, annual subscriptions are non-refundable, but you can still cancel — you’ll keep access through the end of the year you’ve already paid for, then move to read-only at renewal time.
To request a pro-rata refund, email support@aurumwealth.io with the subject line “Annual refund” and include the date of the charge. Refunds are processed back to the original payment method by Stripe and typically appear within 5–10 business days.
05Failed payments
If a payment fails — for example, your card expired or the charge was declined — Stripe will:
- Retry the charge up to 3 times over 7 days.
- Send you an email each time a retry succeeds or fails.
During the retry window we’ll show a banner in the app letting you update your payment method without losing access. If all retries fail, the subscription cancels automatically and your account moves to a read-only trial state. Your data is preserved — you just won’t be able to add new transactions until billing is restored.
06Cancellation vs. account deletion
These are two different actions, and we want to make the difference clear:
- Cancellation stops billing. Your account keeps your data and remains read-only after the cancellation date. You can come back and resubscribe later — your data will be there waiting.
- Deletion permanently removes your account and the personal data we hold about you. We process deletion within 30 days. Once deleted, your data isn’t recoverable, even if you sign up again.

07Chargebacks and disputes
If you have a billing concern, we’d much rather hear from you directly — email support@aurumwealth.io. We typically resolve refunds within a couple of business days, which is faster than the dispute process at your bank or card network.
If you file a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank or card network without contacting us first, we may suspend access to your Aurum account while the dispute is open. This is so we can investigate and respond accurately to the network. Once the dispute is resolved we’ll restore or close the account based on the outcome.
08How to request a refund
Email support@aurumwealth.io from the address on your account with:
- The date of the charge you’re asking about.
- Whether you’re on the monthly or annual plan.
- (Optional) A short note on why — it helps us improve the product.
We’ll confirm receipt within one business day and process the refund within five business days if it qualifies under this policy. Refunds appear on your card statement within 5–10 business days after we issue them.
09Changes to this policy
We may update this Refund & Cancellation Policy from time to time. Changes apply prospectively to charges made after the new effective date — they don’t change the rights you already had for prior charges. If a change is material we’ll notify you by email or in-app at least 14 days before it takes effect.
